A wise woman once told me that, “The hardest thing to do is walk alone. And when that time comes in your journey to walk alone, it won’t be an easy place to stand in. But if you can just get past that part, you’ll see what will happen next.”
This is where I am in my journey.

After working through some things in my past, removing certain people from my life, and taking a break from certain life events, I’ve reached that place she spoke of, and I’d be shitting you if I said it’s easy. It’s not. To “walk alone” is actually a very emotional and difficult place to be, so as is often the case, this wise woman was right, but something is telling me this has to happen.

This part isn’t about staying at home sleeping all day, it’s about taking the time to really get connected with where I am in this present moment. Focusing on my happiness and my goals. It’s about strengthening my soul so I can truly be of service to someone else. In the past, I was other people’s strength without being my own, but this time around, I owe it to myself to give it a shot at being my own strength. Deciding what’s best for me and not what’s best for everyone else and their life.
Before getting to that stage of equilibrium in life, depending on who you are and what you’ve been through, sometimes you just have to be by yourself. Just you and whatever you believe in because, at that point, you see things clearer, you know your surroundings, you see people for who they are. You see where you want to go in life. But before you can make that happen, you really have to seal the deal with yourself. Then you’ll know for sure how to clearly move further along in your journey, you’ll be able to find the balance.

I remember last year I told my girl, “You have to find a balance in life, and with the people in your life.” For someone reason I gave her this advice and forgot to take it for myself. So now that I’m aware of my past, and I’m healed from a lot of things thus far, I’m going to find my balance.

“Never be afraid to close yourself off from the rest of the world and plan for yourself”.

From my journey to you.
